Odds and Sods

The story behind the name:

Why I chose the name "The Crafter's Coven" is simple in a round about way.  

My goal is to have my own shop, and while I am a avid cross stitcher I like to dabble and create in other fields of craft. I don't create from scratch so I use the term Crafter when I describe myself, and Coven comes from the fact that I want to eventually hold craft groups and lessons and as I was born on Halloween seemed like the most appropriate collective noun. 

Dabbling:

So to date, on the embroidery side of things I initially learnt a method called Huckaback (I have seen this also referred to as Monks Stitch). I have rediscovered my love of crochet, but don't seem to have the skill for knitting,  and on occasion when I am inspired I haul out my Janome and I sew, but I stick to   toys and bags, the ladies in my stitching group are just waiting for me to cave in and do a quilt.
